Why convert SVG to PNG?
- Universal display. PNG opens in every browser, app, and image viewer — no SVG support needed.
- Keeps transparency. A transparent SVG exports to a transparent PNG.
- Crisp raster. Rendered at high resolution so icons and graphics stay sharp.
How it works
- Use the converter. Go to the Formatly SVG to PNG converter page. No registration is required.
- Upload your SVG file. Drag and drop your SVG vector graphic into the uploader, or browse from your device.
- Convert to PNG. Select PNG as the target format and click the Convert button.
- Download the PNG image. Click the Download button to save the transparent PNG image.
Good for
- Using a vector logo where SVG isn't supported (email, some CMSes).
- Exporting an icon as a fixed-size image.
- Sharing a graphic that opens anywhere.
FAQ
Does the converted PNG have a transparent background? Yes, our SVG renderer respects transparency. If your SVG doesn't have a background shape, the output PNG will keep its transparency.
Will the image lose quality when scaled? SVG is a vector format and can scale infinitely, but PNG is a raster format and has a fixed pixel resolution. We render SVGs at standard high resolution so they look clean and crisp.
Is my data kept private? Yes. Formatly is safe and all files are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers after exactly 1 hour.
